..Trust announce new Board members (11/03/04)

The Foxes Trust has announced two new additions to the Trust board.

Claire Griffiths has taken the role of Board Member – Events. Claire recently organised the successful 5 A Side football tournament where 20 teams enjoyed playing several games each inside the Dome at Belvoir Drive.

Lesley Hull becomes Board Member – Membership with responsibility for the Trust Office at the Walkers Stadium. Lesley has worked in the office sent it was set up and therefore has been involved in maintaining membership records for over a year.

Commenting on the appointments Chairman of the Trust Ian Bason said

“We are delighted both Claire and Lesley have agreed to join the board. Lesley brings a great deal of experience to the board having spoken to numerous members who have contacted the Trust office, while Claire has taken on a position we have been looking to fill for many months.

"Claire will add a younger outlook to the board and we hope her input will help attract an increase in younger members joining the Trust”

Claire Griffiths commenting on her appointment said

“As a 21 year old student I'm pleased to be representing the younger section of LCFC fans.

"Having got actively involved since last November I’m keen to make a success of the role by encouraging members of all ages to organise their own events, have plenty of fun and raise some funds for the Trust at the same time”

“If you have any ideas then please contact me at [email protected] or write to me at PO Box 7036, Leicester. LE2 7WR, here’s a few ideas for starters, a night out bowling, a sports quiz, for the more adventurous a bungee jump, or a more relaxed coffee morning, whatever you would most enjoy doing, all the help would be much appreciated”
