Last night's Supporters' Club end of year awards ceremony held no real surpises for anyone, except maybe Tommy Wright and his family, who thought Jordan Stewart may pick up the award for young player of the season.

The youngster had gone off with the England U-19 squad to Frankfurt and didn't hear that he'd won until his dad spoke to him this morning at the airport.

Another award winner was not there to collect his prize either. Muzzy Izzet, awarded goal of the season for his great overhead bicycle kick at Grimsby, was in hospital on a drip!

Player of the season, Paul Dickov, was there to collect his award though.

Dickov said:

"This has been a great season for me and the fans here have played a big part in helping me do well.

"But it has also been a total team effort and I would like to thank the rest of the players, and the boss, for making it such a wonderful campaign."
