City fans were celebrating the good news today that that "loveable cheeky cockney chappie Wisey" had finally been found out to be a thug and his contract torn up.

The official statement was short and very very sweet.

"The board of Leicester City FC have given Dennis Wise notice of termination in accordance with his playing contract.

"This decision has been taken following a proper investigation of an incident that occurred on July 18 at the club's training camp in Finland.

"Mr Wise, who attended a disc-iplinary hearing chaired by Football Club chairman Martin George on Friday, July 26, was found to have committed an act of serious misconduct.''

That saves us £35,000 a week in wages and we don't have to put up with any more poxy short corners.
