Muzzy Izzet is desperate for a move to Scottish giants Celtic.The Turkish international midfielder wants to team up with former teammates Neil Lennon and Steve Guppy and former City boss Martin O'Neill.

Izzet, who is preparing for World Cup action with Turkey, still has an offer from Middlesbrough on the table, and West Ham have also expressed an interest in the player. However, the chance to play Champions League football is an offer Izzet would be unlikely to turn down.

Martin O'Neill made a late attempt to sign Izzet before the former Chelsea player spoke with Middlesbrough over a potential £6m move to the Riverside. However, O'Neill has been restricted by the Celtic board's unwillingness to make transfer funds available.
