City Captain Matt Elliott starts his 3 match ban on Saturday missing the Mansfield home cup game , West Ham away and Newcastle at home.

Elliott is suspended after his dismissal during the West Ham game for nutting Trevor Sinclair. He's a bit miffed to be missing Mansfield as his old mate from Oxford Utd wilp be leading them out, Les robinson.

On the official site Elliot says,

"It would have been a great occasion to play against Les as he's one of my oldest friends in football.

"He's doing a great job at Mansfield and has always been a very solid player.

"Obviously I let myself down against West Ham and I've paid the price. Les will lead Mansfield out on Saturday and it would have been interesting to be opposing captains but through my own stupidity I'm going to miss out."
