Dave Bassett is clearing out the City squad even faster than Taylor did...the only guy who can score for us has gone on loan to Wolves with a view to a permanent deal

Dean Sturridge today went to Wolves on a one month loan, after being told he no longer figured in Dave Bassett's plans.

Bassett admitted today that if the Brian Deane and Zhang Yuning deals fall through he hopes to being in a Scandanavian striker next week.

Bassett had been said to be watching Halmstads striker Stefan Selakovic over in Sweden, but the youngster is rated at £3m. The guy Bassett is after would apparently not cost much money.

Rumours are that now Scowcroft is fit he will start up front on Saturday with Benjamin rather than Akinbiyi.
