Without fail each week the opposition supporters sing "There's only one Lily Savage" in response to our "There's only one Robbie Savage" as we yawn and pretend we've never heard such wit before.

Now the inevitable has happened. Yes, Sav has been invited onto Blankety Blank, hosted by the real Lily Savage.

Blankety Blank is reknowned for having on total c-rated stars who have flagging careers an IQ of a a dead dog, so Sav should do ok on it.

The stupider the answer he writes down, the more canned laughter the producer will dub over it , and a star could be born.

It could well be te funniest thing on TV for years. Watch this space for details of when it is on.

Sav has also just filmed a mystery guets slot for BBC's A Question of Sport. They took him to the Holiday Inn swimming pool where he was made up to look like a certain bald swimming star by the sound of it. That should be on in a few weeks too.
