Dave
Bassett reportedly watched Halmstads striker Stefan Selakovic
in action against Sporting Lisbon last night prompting rumours
of a possible move to Leicester.
Planet
Football report that the Swede was one of the focal points
of Bassett's European scouting mission where he is thought
to have taken in the match in Lisbon last night and the Champions
League clash between Roma and Anderlecht the previous evening.
Micky
Adams confirmed that Bassett was out and about in Italy and
Portugal looking for cheap Johnny Foreigners to come and save
us if Ade don't come up with the goods soon.
It
appears that Sunderland are also watching Sella though...
(from Yahoo)
Young
starlet Stefan Selakovic, who is being tracked by a number
of Europe's top clubs, admitted he is interested in a move
to Wearside.
The
23-year-old has scored 14 goals for Swedish league side Halmstads
this season, making him an obvious candidate for a move to
one of the bigger European Leagues.
The
youngster commented:
"I
have not actually spoken to anyone from Sunderland, but I
am aware that they have been watching me.
"I
don't know whether they are considering making a bid for me,
but I do know that if they do I will be interested in talking
to them."
He
is rumoured to be valued around the £3 million mark, although
an early bid could tempt the Swedish club to do business at
a lower price. If other clubs do come in with offers the price
could shoot up.
