Several news sources are now reporting that former City director Gilbert Kinch could be about to launch a takeover bid.

It is reported that Mr Kinch along with several other businessmen have raised enough funds to attempt a takeover of LCFC.

The other men are thought to be former Directors Parker, Smeeton and another mystery businessman.

Fans will be no strangers to the rumours of former Gang Of Four member Kinch trying to takeover the club. Back in December '99 their had to be a special EGM to remove Kinch and his buddies from the PLC board of City after many board room bust ups that ended with current chairman John Elsom resigning, or not, as it turned out to be!

It's believed that they may use the current Taylor debate as a smoke screen to get on the right side of fans with the rumour that they would take the highly popular move of sacking him. Although many fans would love to see Taylor out of a job FFS believes that this is the wrong way to go about it.

An even more worrying rumour is that the money needed to fund the takeover bid has been borrowed. This means that LCFC PLC would be in a very dodgy financial situation if Kinch was to take over.
