  ...Die Taylor, die! (26/08/01)

Due to the fact that I had to re-wire an entire room yesterday ready for the plaster to move in on Monday I didn't actually get to yesterday's match. By all accounts I was probably one of the lucky ones!!

I felt incredibly optimistic yesterday, even to the point where I was smiling as I paid for my wiring, cable clips and sockets. A 30 minute queue in Argos didn't even dent my spirit. I actually thought that we were going to get something out of yesterday's game.

By three o'clock I was prepared to start work. At ten past I cut the power. So did City. By the time I was half way through, City were two nil down with less than no hope.

By the time that I had finished City were 3-nil down and it sounded like we were worse than I can ever remember. Another goal was added at the death, which I expect is an attractive prospect for Peter Taylor at the minute.

That got me thinking. Why should Peter Taylor resign? He has been paid well for his job, given all the tools that he asked for and still he has failed. If City were a cult then there would be only one way for Mr Taylor to atone for his failure. Ritual suicide.

Now this might sound harsh but look at the facts. Leicester, like a cult has many followers around the world. Like a cult we have a large, self contained, self run base of operations and like a cult we are funded by several multinational corporations.

City have plenty of secret meetings with lots of things going on that people lower down, the followers or "fans", know nothing about. Leicester have a website and public relations people who's jobs are to dish out propergander to keep the masses happy and the outside world at bay. Much like a cult.

Peter Taylor is charged with keeping the cult functional. This means that he has failed his job despite being given all the tools he wanted and a sizable pay packet as an incentive. And still he has failed.

The price for failure within the Cult of Leicester is death. I don't want a resignation, I want blood, carnage and pain. Basically I want some pay back and I want it now!!
