From Teamtalk: Leicester have announced a press conference for Thursday, where they are expected to announce that Robbie Savage has signed an improved contract.

Teamtalk go on to say that Savage has been the subject of transfer speculation over the summer, being linked with both Scottish giants, Rangers and Spanish side, Real Betis.

City boss Peter Taylor has long insisted that Savage was not for sale and now looks to have tied the fiery Wales international to an improved four-year deal. The combative midfielder, who was in outstanding form last season, only signed a new contract last summer, but Taylor is now set to reward Savage with an improved deal.
