Lots of news on possible want away star Muzzy Izzet today with the club trying to play down speculation on Izzet's future after this weekends Celtic rumours.

City manager Peter Taylor was only too happy to give his views on the subject and said, “As far as I’m concerned, there’s no truth in it whatsoever.

“It has nothing to do with Celtic and nothing to do with us.

“I know Muzzy better than that. There’s no way he would have said those things.

“It’s just another case of somebody trying to create a story out of nothing. I imagine they took what he said out of context to make a story.

“He is a very important part of our side.

“We missed him more than anybody when he was injured towards the end of last season.

“He is the kind of player who can create and score goals out of nothing. I want to build my team around him.

“I’ve got no intention of selling Muzzy or any other of the players who are so important to our side.”
