  ..Getting to Wimbledon

Note: Do not get confused between Wimbledon FC who are still playing at Selhurst Park at present but who hope to move to Milton Keynes, and the new AFC Wimbledon, the fans REAL Wimbledon who you may want to go see instead as a protest.

Confused? You will be. Apparently Wimbledon have the players but AFC Wimbledon have the fans. The fans are referring to the Wimbledon in the Nationwide div 1 as the Franchise or MK Wimbledon. AFC Wimbledon meanwhile are beavering away down in the Combined Counties League and trying to buy Plough Lane.

By Car:
From the North: Take the M1/A1 to North Circular A406 to Chiswick, take the south circular A205 to Wandsworth, then take A3 to A214, follow signs for Streatham to the A23, after one mile take a left onto the B273, at the end turn left into High Street and into Whitehorse Lane

From the South: Take the A23, follow signs for Crystal Palace (B266) through Thornton Heath into Whitehorse Lane

From the East: Take the A232 Croydon Road to Shirley and join A215 Northwood Road, turn into Whitehorse Lane after 2 and a quarter miles

From the West: Take M4 to Chiswick, take the south circular A205 to Wandsworth, then take A3 to A214, follow signs for Streatham to the A23, after one mile take a left onto the B273, at the end turn left into High Street and into Whitehorse Lane.

By Rail: There are three stations near the ground, all within five minutes walk. Trains to Thornton Heath and Selhurst run from Victoria and London Bridge. Thornton Heath: Turn left out of station and cross road. Bear right at the first junction into the High Street and left at roundabout into Whitehouse lane. Selhurst: It's well signposted. Turn left out of Station, and left at lights into Clifton Road. Take the 2nd right (opposite Clifton Arms) into Holmesdale Road. Norwood Junction: Straight out of Station, and left at end of road into Selhurst Road. Take 3rd turning on right to ground.

One word of warning: Crystal Palace Railway Station is nowhere near the ground!

By Bus: The main routes are the 68A, 75, 157, 196 plus nos. 50, 198, 412 and X68.
