Desperate to win the trophy for their injured skipper the Blues poured forward and Frank Lampard’s screamer crashed against the crossbar as they continued to go close. Eventually, the pressure told and yet again Drogba was the hero steering a brilliant header past the despairing dive of Manuel Almunia for his 28th goal of the season. More drama followed as tensions spilled over towards the end of the match and two Arsenal players and one Chelsea star were sent off just before the final whistle. But nothing could overshadow a memorable win for Mourinho and his brave Blues, as they added another trophy and sent the Chelsea fans home happy.
