This match review is brought to you in partnership with a Ginsters' prawn sandwich

A minute's silence at the start of the game for the Everton fan who died last week was what many City fans wanted. Well done to the Liverpool fans whon added floral tributes.

Michael Owen not playing was another wish. They got both.

Unfortunately the Liverpool lot on the pitch were just as much as a handful, and City's 4-3-3 formation couldn't cope too well with the likes of Baros in the first half after a few quick corners for the Foxes. Liverpool had a lot of the play apart from a few route ones which saw Dickov buzzing around like his old self at the end of huge hoofs up field from Walker.

City's best chance came from Matt Heath who was in the box after going forward for a set piece. But he's no striker and it flew over the crossbar.

Liverpool pushed forward and The City fans hooted as the Scousers celebrated...Gerrard had put the ball in the side netting not the goal.

Sir Les Ferdinand had a few jaws dropping as he showed a 38 year old can still have pace. He gathered the ball and legged it to goal, but Dudek got to the low shot.

It wasn't working and Adams knew it, as did everyone else. So he changed it. Off went Nalis and on came Guppy to go to 4-4-2, sort out the midfield and add some width.

An entertaining second half saw shots at both ends, Cheryou hitting the post, Kewell just putting wide, and Izzet sending in a long range attempt.

As City took more control Liverpool started to give away more freekicks, although the ref didn't have a good ganme for either team. A piledriver from Ben Thatcher had to be blocked by Dudek.

Leicester continued to come at Liverpool strongly at the end and another Thatcher freekick had City fans on their feet. Again Dudek saved it.

A few minutes before time and City blew a glorious chance. A great cross in from Freund had Muzzy in front of goal, but he had to stretch just too far to get it and put it wide. Not one of Muzzy's better games, but Freund was again proving he is a Fox. Committed and geeing everyone up again. A potential future captain, along with Thatcher?

Good to see Dickov on form again this week, and another great game from Thatcher who shut Gerrard up and nearly pulled off a couple of good free kicks.

A point from the team fourth in the table...could have been worse. We matched them today and all the players gave their all. Our fate is in our own hands now.
