This match review is brought to you in partnership with a Ginsters' prawn sandwich

Kids charging to look after your car, chips and gravy, church before the game and a little girl in a blue and white dress trying to take your eye out by pelting toffees at you...must be Everton away.

Rooney only on the bench to start with and the Toffees not doing too well so far this season...surely we should be in with a shout?

Didn't seem so to start with as Everton made the early running, Billy McKinlay having to clear off the line. Everton lost Pistone after only half an hour, but that didn't stop them going 1-0 up a couple of minutes later as Steve Howey decided to give them a head start.

Ben Thatcher was playing with a protective cast round his hand due to the broken bone, and didn't have the usual high quality game that we normally see. Nigel Martyn wellied the ball down field and had our defence running all over the place. Carsley's chip was blocked by Walker, but the ball rebounded off Steve Howey into the net.

Despite the Everton possession City fans heaved a sigh of relief just before half time as we pulled one back. Referee Phil Dowd booked Alan Stubbs for a foul, and then penalised him for dissent by moving the ball forward 10 yards. Muzzy lined it up but instead of taking it, moved it on for Les Ferdinand as they did at Portsmouth away. Same result; a beautiful Sir Les goal.

City had a new lease of life and early in the second half, despite having Howey replaced by Elliott, City took the lead. Jordan Stewart went bombing down the left( and remembered to take the ball with him) and put in a lovely cross which Jamie Scowcroft dived to head home.

Moyes decided to bring Rooney on for McFadden, and the game turned again. He ran at us and it was only a matter of time before he scored wasn't it? On 70 mins he hit a wonderful shot past Walker from miles out. Would like to see a few of those when he's in an England shirt, but didn't look good against City.

Despite the game being pretty exciting and now end to end, only one team was going to win... only 8 minutes later Radzinski ran on to a flick from substitute Duncan Ferguson to beat Walker as our defence were all over the shop. We're not surprised Micky has been linked with the likes of Dabozas...what was Elliott doing for both the Everton goals???

Muzzy forced an awesome save from Martyn in the dying seconds, but again Leicester had thrown away a lead. The start of our usual miserable Christmas and New Year run? At least we're not in the bottom 3 for Christmas...
