Other
than that it was a pre-season friendly against a decent opposition
and very sunny. Oh, and the white shorts made an appearance at last.
Matt
Elliott nearly crippled one of their lads when he cleared the ball...right
into the poor lad's "bits" at a distance of only 1 metre.
Went down like a lead balloon as the whole ground took a sharp breath
and cringed for him. But to his credit the kid got back up.
Muzzy
Izzet went off after 30 minutes with a thigh strain having not done
much. But he doesn't needs to prove himself, we just need him fit.
Howey
made the clearance of the night hoofing an up and under that nearly
took the floodlight out and came back down with snow on. (Mental
note to get out of his way when he's clearing the ball.)
Nalis
only flailed around in the penalty area once which was a bit disappointing,
and the ref was having none of it. But he played a solid game in
midfield, switching the ball well, and able to turn on the ball.
Thatcher
managed to put the ball out for a corner when trying a backpass,
as well as losing the ball a few times. Hmmm...we'll see how he
gets on.
Hignett
looked like a breath of fresh air when he came on, and can obviously
get forward. Looked good.
The
Cherries gave plenty of players a run out by making ten substitutions
which was a bit tedious, but despite the chopping and changing,
they looked the more likely to score in the second half.
Neil
Young grabbed an equaliser on 65 minutes and it was all Bournemouth
then. They were the only team that looked like they'd go on and
win it.
City
fans had had a nice day out in the sun though and have got to see
a bit more of the new boys.
Spot
the odd one out...

Answer:
Thatcher - all the others could pass a ball to the keeper without
putting it out for a corner.
