Farewell to
the Craven Cottage terraces

City fans were expecting a party atmosphere and went prepared.

Unfortunately the Fulham fans were acting as though someone had died rather than they'd stayed up in the Prem. You would never have guessed that it was farewell to Craven Cottage as they knew it either.

The City fans sang and danced all game. The best away atmosphere since Leeds. They sang and sang and sang. And danced and had a disco, and wore fezs. And danced on the pitch at the end in front of the police.

And the Fulham fans were just quiet. All game. What a very odd lot they are.

Oh and an excuse for a game of football went on in front of too, but that was quite distracting and we wished they would go home cos they were rubbish.

The game was truly a non eventful, non-descript affair with no memorable instances at all.

Coming away thinking what to write in the report everyone came up with the one phrase, "oh Concorde went over near the end didn't it?". What a boring drab non-game.

Neither keeper had anything to do all game. Only Mad Frank nearly had a shot on target (yes, at his own end of course) and for some totally inexplicable reason Mr Pugh (standing in for Mr Foy for some reason) decided he had to get his yellow card tally up before the end of the season.

Gary Rowett kind of deserved his. He walked off and threw the ball away rather than letting Fulham take a free kick. A booking and an extra 10 yards. Poor discipline.

Legwinski deserved his too, taking Callum Davidson out badly, meaning another pinged hamstring and Callum out for the rest of the season (again).

But the rest? Another 6 yellows? Nonsense. It was never a dirty game. It was too boring and neither team could tackle to save themselves for it to be dirty.

Sav was at the centre of two yellow card incidents as usual. As a victim of one of the few tackles in the game, he flew ten yards up in the air twirling round and landed like a ton of bricks and didn't move. Got the Fulham guy booked.

Unfortunately though he was also booked himself for a "late " tackle. Never was. As with so many of his cards this season, it was just because it was Sav. The result? His 15th card, a 3 match automatic ban, and maybe us never seeing him play for Leicester again.

I'm sure away fans would think it most ironic and laughable. For City fans it may be a miserable end to the Leicester career of someone who has been a great character and a great player for us.

Fulham wheeled out many a "Fulham legend" before during and after the game, and Micky Adams got a rousing reception from his old fans.

Other than that, their fans were embarrassingly quiet. How could you be like that on terraces for the last game at your stadium??? We were all just speechless. Pathetic.

Roll on the spurs game so we can show them how to do it.
