Leicester City have today issued a statement regarding season ticket prices for next season. This is an extract from the article on LCFC.com:
"Feedback to the club has suggested that supporters had been led to
believe that a price rise had been put into place for the upcoming
League One campaign. But the Foxes were today able to confirm that was not the case. A City spokesman said: "It is correct that our discounted Early Bird
price will come to an end on May 31 - but at this point prices will
fall into line with what they were last season." "We announced a price freeze and that is what supporters have got. "
In the past the club has claimed there has been a price freeze, when it has been nothing of the sort, and they're doing the same now. Last season the cheapest adult season ticket was £275. This price was available to everyone, all the way through the summer. From June 1st, the cheapest adult season ticket for next season will be £303. This is not a price freeze, it's an increase of over 10%, which is well above the rate of inflation. If you are disgusted with the way the club is lying to supporters yet again, get in touch and let them know how you feel by contacting Peter Jones, the supporter relations manager - on 0116 229 4555, email
