The players returned to training yesterday, and were joined by a number of new faces on and off the pitch.
The most obvious new face is of course manager Nigel
Pearson. He welcomed two new members of his back room staff - Craig
Shakespeare from West Brom, and Steve Walsh (not that one!) from
Newcastle. Shakespeare has been running the WBA reserve team, and Walsh
has worked as a scout. Both men will be known as assistant manager,
each with different responsibilities. Shakespeare will be first team
coach, and Walsh is head of recruitment.
Three new players also took part in the first day of training. Central defender Michael Morrison, who joined from Cambridge United, and midfielders Lloyd Dyer (MK Dons) and Nicky Adams (Bury). Click here to talk about this on our forum.
